01Who We Are

This Cookie Policy explains how VC Services Group Ltd, trading as Little Village Co ("Little Village", "we", "us", "our"), company number 17402400, registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF, uses cookies and similar technologies on our website www.littlevillagevcgroup.com (the "Site").

Please read this policy alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

02What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and give information to the website owner. Similar technologies (such as pixels, tags and local storage) work in a comparable way and are covered by this policy.

  • Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period, or until you delete them.
  • First-party cookies are set directly by our Site.
  • Third-party cookies are set by a service we use that we don't operate.

03Our Use of Cookies

We use cookies for the purposes below. Not every category is active at all times. It depends on how you use the Site and which features you use.

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Site to work. They support core security, remember your cookie choices, help prevent fraud, and let you move around the Site and submit forms (such as our enquiry, waitlist and application forms). The Site cannot work properly without them, so they cannot be switched off.

Our Site is built and hosted on Squarespace, which sets a number of cookies automatically to keep the Site secure and working, including some from services it uses, such as Google reCAPTCHA:

3.2 Analytics and performance cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site, for example which pages are visited most and how long people stay, so we can improve the Site and our services. We use Squarespace's built-in analytics, which sets first-party cookies:

PurposeExample cookie names
Identify unique visitors and track visits and sessions, to help us understand site trafficss_cid, ss_cvisit, ss_cvt, ss_cvr, ss_cpvisit

We do not currently use any third-party analytics tool, such as Google Analytics, so Squarespace's own analytics is the only analytics in use. If we add one, we will update this policy first and it will only run if you have accepted analytics cookies.

These cookies are not essential. They are only set once you give consent through our Cookie Preferences banner.

These cookies let the Site remember choices you make, to give you a more personal experience.

3.4 Third-party and embedded content

Some pages may include content from, or links to, third-party services which may set their own cookies. We have no direct control over these:

  • Payment processing: when you pay a booking, you are sent to a secure page hosted by Monzo Business, which sets its own cookies under Monzo's cookie and privacy policies.
  • Social media: links or embeds to our Facebook and Instagram pages may allow those platforms to set cookies if you interact with the content.

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, but we do not currently use a Meta Pixel or any other advertising or remarketing tag on the Site. If we add one, we will update this policy and our Privacy Notice first, it will only run if you have accepted advertising cookies, and we will never send data about children to an advertising platform.

04Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Cookie banner: when you first visit the Site, a banner lets you accept non-essential cookies or manage your choices. To refuse them, select "Manage cookies", switch off each non-essential category, then confirm. Non-essential cookies are only set once you have given consent. You can review or change your choices at any time using the Cookie Preferences button on the Site.

Browser settings: most browsers also let you control or delete cookies through their own settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Site works, including submitting forms. For general guidance, see aboutcookies.org or allaboutcookies.org.

How long cookies last: session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for the period set by the provider of each cookie (Squarespace, or the third parties named above) or until you delete them. You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings or by changing your choices in Cookie Preferences.

Do Not Track: some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Our Site does not currently respond to these signals.

05Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will post updates on this page with a new "last updated" date.
